I know the above sentence doesn’t make any sense but what I actually meant to say is that there was a time people didn’t have to live in perpetual fear of being robbed, raped, maimed or killed in their own homes. This sounds almost utopian to people like us in the 21st century where we live in a state of constant fear and worry. The answer would be our homes and families for every one of us, barring an enlightened few who would rather worry about who is going to win the next super bowl or if the Dalai Lama will reincarnate in America.
